Capital Projects Fund
The London Curling Club (LCC), a not-for-profit entity, has existed since 1847. That's over 175 years! LCC members have curled at our Lyle Street facility since it was rebuilt in 1923 after a fire destroyed the original building. We continue to operate out of this facility as a financially independent organization. However, the operating and capital costs associated with running an ice arena are an on-going challenge.
Please help us improve our facilities and grow the sport of curling! Whether you are a member, past member, friend of a curler or simply a fan of the game, we invite you to make a donation to our Capital Projects Fund.
We also encourage our members and past members to consider leaving a legacy donation to the London Curling Club. After all, none of us paid for the existing facility, so let’s do what we can to provide a quality curling facility for future curlers in London.
LCC’s Capital Projects Fund is an approved project under the Ontario Sport Network (OSN) and the National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF), allowing for charitable tax receipts to be issued for donations to the fund.
The purpose of the Capital Projects Fund is to develop a reserve that can be used, at the discretion of our Board of Directors, to
- renovate and maintain the existing facility
- replace the ice-making or other capital equipment
- in the long term, to build a new curling facility in London to replace the existing 100+ year old building.
Be sure to select the London Curling Club as the organization and donate to Project #278
Donations may be made by credit card or cheque (payable to National Sport Trust Fund). Tax Receipts will be issued by email once your donation has been processed.
