The 38th Harry Sifton Bonspiel was held on November 21st 2023 at the London Curling Club. This year possibly related to the pandemic it was only a one day event that attracted 12 teams. The lunch provided by Sunripe Foods was enjoyed by the 48 curlers. In addition there was a liqueur tasting put on by Wolfhead Distillery of Amherstberg as well as a free draught beer for each curler. The event was sponsored by Sifton Properties and Triple Bogey Brewing Co.
The winners were:
1st. Jim Russell, Brian Piper (absent from photo), Greg Lewis and David Johnston (skip)
2nd Gord Browne, Blaine Cronik, Derek McClary and Enzo Martone (skip). tied with
2nd Mark Enns, Bruce Thom, Sean Burns and Dave Mann (skip)
The winners won turkeys, while the other teams won a selection of turkey meat loaf or sausages which are the traditional prizes for this event.
The bonspiel committee included: Murray Turner (drawmaster), John Hamilton, John Enright, Gary Peters, Bill McFarlane and Gord Sellery (convenor).
